The recipes are indeed passed down from generation to generation and are part of the cultural assets of the family. A careful selection of fresh products, almost all coming from local production, guarantees the delicate taste of our hand made pasta with which we prepare pappardelle pasta, lasagne, tagliatelle and ravioli. The restaurant also offers a large variety of Tuscany soups all prepared with bread cooked in a wooden oven.
The Grotta also proposes a menu based on typical Tuscany game products, of which wild boar, wild goat and wild hare. Among the second courses you can also order are pigeon and guinea-fowl with vin santo wine sauce.A real and true speciality of the house is the pudding “Moro in Camicia” (kind of tiramisu) an exquisite traditional pudding from the Sassa, the recipe of which is a secret.
